FBA 2009

Yesterday was FBA. I was able to go and watch the band. I'm so proud of the band. They are so good. They do a very traditional Marching Show. Some schools are doing crazy things and I don't like it. Our school I love. Very crisp & clean.
Here are some photos from the show. This is the last week of band. Next Sat they will compete in States. It will be a very long day for Tiff.

Band & Football

Friday Sept 4th was the first HS football game and Band 1/2 time performance. I was so excited. I could not wait to see the band perform. I could not wait to see Tiff in her uniform.
Then I hear it. Thunder. I was not happy. I looked at the radar and a big storm was brewing. I could not believe this. I was in tears. Tiff was already at school. I had no way of getting in touch with her. I did not know if the band would still perform.
My brother was here. We were all going to go to the game. But I did not want to take the girls if it was raining and the band was not performing.
So my brother & I went first. We parked and saw the band in uniform. We saw one of the band directors (he was my band director in HS) and he said they are performing. The storm had passed!
So I called Bill and he brought the girls to the game. It was fun. The football team is not that good, so we got a lot of good laughs. The girls were really good. It was humid, but not too hot. so that was nice.
Then it was FINALLY half time. We were thrilled. The band sounded and looked great! I was so happy.
Bill & the girls left. It was late. My brother & I stayed till the end. I could not wait to see Tiff.
She said she had fun. She messed up. But we had no idea! :-)
Here are photos from that night. Enjoy!

Band Camp

Tiff had 8 days of band camp and she was exhausted! The first 3 nights were not too bad. But the last 5 days were HARD! They were from 9-6. They learned a lot. We are so proud of her. She is all over the field, literally. She has a lot of marching to do. And she did it! I am so impressed with what they learned in a week. From never marching before, to learning her whole first routine, just impressive.

Here are some photos from the other night. They performed for the parents. The band is awesome! I'm excited for this marching season.....
