VBS Family Night

Last night was family night for VBS. The kids were on stage singing the songs that they learned all week. It was really cute. The preschoolers had the option of getting up there with the big kids, or staying with their parents. The preschoolers only knew 2 of the 6 songs, but that was okay. They could still be up there and follow along.
Well, Abby wanted to go on stage and was excited to be on stage. Jadyn did not want to be up there. So she stayed with us. Abby had a blast! She loved all the songs. She really loves to perform.
After the performance we went to the fellowship hall and had snacks. The girls loved it. The last photo on the slide show below if the last photo I took for VBS last night.
I also have 2 video clips here of Abby performing. They are a couple of minutes long. I hope you enjoy our little actress. She had a blast!

Tacky Tourist Day at VBS

Well, today was the final day of VBS. We had a good day. It was a fun day. Today's theme was tacky tourist day. The kids were to dress like tacky tourist. Well if you've been to Disney, you've seen plenty of tacky tourist. LOL Jadyn did not like this idea. She did not want to wear socks with sandals. She said "You don't do that". She had me promise she could take them off when we got home. As you can see in the photos they wore their Mickey shirts. Now, that is not tacky, but it's touristy. I did the best I could in dressing them up.
We had a good week, but I'm glad it's over. I loved getting to know the kids in my class. They are really good kids.
Enjoy the slide show. Tonight is family night. We might try to take some video of the kids singing. If we do then I'll post some of it on this site.

What a week!

Well we have made it half way through VBS. I am still surviving. It's going really well. We have a good group of kids in our class. The day does go by fast. BUT, I'm so tired by time we get home. I have tried to take little cat naps in the afternoons, if possible. Today we are getting some really good rain, so that always help me sleep a little better. Of course the chaos of noise in our house does not help. But that's okay.
Today the kids were to wear flip flops to VBS. So to go with the theme, they had "flip flop" cookies. They are so cute.! I took a photo that I have in the slideshow below. It's just nutter butter cookies decorated to look like flip flops. The kids loved them.
They also made the cutest craft yesterday. It's a paper weight. I have a photo in the slideshow. It's not the best photo, but you can sort of see what it looks like. I think they are so cute!
I can't believe June is almost over. Tiff will be leaving in about 2 weeks for camp and Bill will be leaving shortly after that for China. Where is the summer going?
Yesterday I got my hair cut. I told Nicole to cut it shorter. Well she did. I'm still getting used to it. I will have Tiff or Bill take a photo of me when I feel "presentable". :-)
Enjoy the slideshow of photos. Have a great night!

VBS and Swimming

Today we started VBS at church. Tiff & I are helping out in the 4 yr old class. Abby & Jadyn are not with us because they do the classes by the "grade" the kids just finished. And because of the girls birthday's, they have been in the 3 yr old class. Anyway, I do get to see them for a couple of hours because the 3's & 4's do the rotation classes together. So we go to worship, art, snack, recreation, music & missions together. BUT, I'm not their teacher. :-) VBS was fun and the kids liked it. We have 10 4 yr olds. Perfect. I was able to take a lot of photos today, and I was able to snap a few of Abby & Jadyn eating their snack.
After VBS, we came home and jumped in the pool. We have not been able to swim for a few days because of rain. I have been very thankful for the rain, because our grass & bushes desperately need it. But the girls have not been happy. So today we swam for about 2 hrs. I took a few photos of the girls wearing their floaties & goggles. They look so cute/funny with the goggles. Abby HAS to wear hers when she is in the pool. Jadyn really does not care.
I have put together a little slideshow of photos from today. Enjoy!

Bring Me Hope

As most everyone who is reading this blog knows, we are involved with an organization called Bring Me Hope. Bill met them by making the adoption websites. A family who signed up for a site asked Bill to donate their money to BMH. So Bill did and read more about their cause. They do summer camps for orphans in China. Of course China has a very special place in our hearts, since that is Abby & Jadyn's birth country. So Bill chose to donate all of the website money to BMH.
This year Bill is going to China to help at the camp. He is excited. I'm excited for him. I can't wait to see photos and to read his journals.
Anyway, it cost money to send the kids to camp. BMH has fundraisers during the year. They also ask for sponsorships. If you would like to help a child go to camp, to get out of the orphanage for a week, please click on this link (or go to the Bring Me Hope Link on the side) and donate. Nothing is too small. It cost $250 for 1 child to go. Every little bit helps. Thank you for your help in helping the orphans in China.

UPDATE 6/23/08- I have added a slideshow below of our BMH Night Walk!

Hi!

I have no idea what I'm doing. Like I said in the 1st post, I have 4 websites AND a My Space site that I've been working on. Yes, I have slacked a lot on the actual websites that we have. It's hard to keep up when I have 3 kids and 2 dogs to take care of. So, I thought why not try out blogger and see what it's all about. So far, pretty easy. I don't know how often I'll get to update it. But I will try.
I'm very happy that it is summer! That means no real schedules for us. Of course, I could be sleeping in until at least 7 AM but we decided to get 2 new puppies a few weeks ago and they like to wake up with the sun. So, no sleeping in for us. The girls are awesome! Tiffani is 13 and such a teenager. She loves her friends. She loves sleepovers and hanging out. She just got a new cell phone with texting, so she has been busy "talking" to her friends on that.
Abby & Jadyn are doing awesome. They are full of energy & life. I can't imagine life without them. I'm so glad that we chose adoption and that God chose these precious angels to be our daughters. I'm so thankful to have 3 beautiful daughters. They are my life. I love them so much.
We just put in a new pool, which we have been using a lot. I'm so glad we were able to talk Bill into doing it. The girls love it (as you can see in the video I uploaded). Tiff and her friends love it too. It took 6 weeks to do and was finished the last day of school.
Next week is VBS at church. I'm looking forward to it. I will be helping out in the 4 yr old class. Abby & Jadyn will not be in with me since they are in the 3 yr old class. Abby hates it, because she's not 3. But because of their birthday's, they will always be the oldest in their class. I'm actually thankful they are not with me becausae they will have more fun with their teacher. :-)
Well I will do my best to update this site, as well as the others. I have links to more sites on the side of the page. Be sure to check it out.
Have a wonderful Friday. Thanks for stopping by.
