Abby is 6!

This past weekend was full of celebrating! We celebrated Abby turning 6 years old. Saturday Sept 5th was her birthday.

On Friday afternoon, she invited a few friends over for a swim party. She had a great time. Her friends are so cute & nice. I'm glad they could all come celebrate with us. Here are some of the photos from her party.

On Saturday we had another party. This time for the family. I have not uploaded those photos on my computer yet. Once I do I'll add them to the blog.

Happy Birthday Princess Abby! We love you very much!

My nephew's 6th birthday

On March 14th, we went to a park to celebrate my nephew's 6th birthday. The day was perfect. The weather was beautiful. I could have stayed out there all day. The kids had a blast sliding down an inflatable slide. They did that for hours.

It was also great to hang out with my family. We don't get to do that much. I was so happy to be able to just sit and relax and watch the kids play. Pop Pop even went down the slide with the kids. That was great!

Colin actually turned 6 on the 16th. So hard to believe. I remember sitting at the hospital waiting for him to be born. He is my parents 2nd grandchild. My first nephew. Now he's 6 and in kindergarten. Hard to believe.

I hope you had a wonderful birthday Colin Boy! I love you very much.

Jadyn the Birthday Girl

Yesterday, Jadyn Mei Shu turned 5 years old. It has been a slow 3 months for Jadyn. Three months that she & Abby were not the same age. Now, they are the same age again.

Jadyn was not as excited about turning 5 as Abby was. Abby had a countdown calender etc. Jadyn did not ask for one. I asked Jadyn if she was excited about turning 5 and she said "no". Well.....Sunday night when she realized that when she woke up it was her birthday, she got very excited.

So Monday morning, Jadyn was all smiles. She was excited. It was a school day, so she was able to bring in a special snack. She chose Christmas Cookies from Publix. At 9 AM I went to school and everyone sang Happy Birthday to Jadyn. She loved it.

Jadyn made a birthday crown in school too. She wore it most of the day.

We picked Tiff up from the bus stop and headed to Outback Steakhouse for dinner. Jadyn wore her crown and everyone said Happy Birthday to her. She was all smiles. After dinner, the staff came out clapping and sang Happy Birthday. Jadyn loved it. They brought her a BIG bowl of ice cream, which she gladly shared with her sisters.

After dinner, we came home to presents waiting for Jadyn. She was thrilled. She loved the gifts from all of us.

Jadyn had a good birthday. You can see her big, beautiful smile in all of the photos in the slide show.

As you've read, Sunday was Bill's 40th birthday. Well yesterday morning we woke up to a surprise on his Mustang. Bill got a good laugh out of it. A note was left, but it was not signed. So we have no idea who did it.

Thanks for checking on us. Now it's time for Christmas. This year has flown. Hopefully, after the new year, we will have some exciting news & changes for our family. So keep checking for the post about that.
Until next time......

Happy Birthday to Bill!

Well today was a big one for Bill. The big 4-0. He had a good day. It did not start off too well. He was not feeling well at all. We decided to just go to church and then come home. He took a nap (which is unusual for him) and felt a little better. Then around 1 PM we went to his mom's house for lunch. She & Tiff had balloons & "40's" all over the house. It looked really good. Bill was surprised. Then he saw the table full of cards sent by family & friends. He was really moved. He loved reading every single card. I want to thank everyone who sent him a card. And, he received over $250 donations to Bring Me Hope. That truly touched him. Thank you for doing this!

After gifts & lunch we had cake. Nanny made his favorite, chocolate chocolate cake. Yumo! Bill loved it.

I just want to thank our family and friends for making this birthday very special for Bill. He was truly surprised & touched.

Now tomorrow, Jadyn turns 5. She can't wait. So be sure to check back for her birthday celebration.
Love, Debbie

A Busy Week

This past week has been very busy. This weekend especially. Thursday night we went to Tiffani's band concert. It was really good. I can't believe this will be the last holiday concert for Tiffani in middle school.

Saturday all 3 girls had to be at church at 8:45 AM for practice. They were all in the Children's Christmas Musical at church. So they rehearsed and then we prepared for Sunday. Sunday the youth choir sang in both services. Then we had our family over to celebrate Jadyn's 5th birthday. Then we all went to church to watch the performance. It was a lot of fun! Jadyn had a blast at her party. She loves seeing the family. She loved opening the gifts. This year, Jadyn made her own birthday cake. She wanted strawberry cake with strawberry frosting. It turned out really good. She also wanted a Tinker Bell theme. So we sprinkled green "pixie" sprinkles on her cake.

The choir performance was really good. The girls did a great job. Jadyn stood up there and sang this time. Usually she is very shy and does not like being up on stage. Abby on the other hand did everything she could to make sure she was noticed. It was funny. Tiffani was Mary in the play. Joseph was her friend Jacob. They looked cute up there. When the play was over, all of Tiffs friends (and me) ran up to the stage to get photos of Tiff & Jacob. I think they liked the attention. :-) Silly me though, only took 1 photo because I did not want to embarrass Tiffani, and Jacob's eyes were closed. Oh well. I'm sure I can find a good photo from the other's who were taking them.

It was a good night, and a good weekend. Now we're trying to finish up Christmas shopping. Bill turns 40 on Sunday, so we're thinking about how to make that special for him.

Here are 2 sets of slide shows. One is from Jadyn's birthday party and the other is from the Christmas Musical. Enjoy the photos.

Bunk Beds, Birthday Party & Preschool Thanksgiving

Wow, a lot to update in this post. Where has November gone? I can't believe tomorrow is Thanksgiving. And then Christmas will be here very soon. I feel so overwhelmed.....
First I have to let you know, we did it, again! We set up bunk beds and moved the girls into the same room. They have been in the room together now for 10 days. And it's going well. They have been sleeping and loving being together. We set up the other room as a playroom, for now. Who knows, it might turn into a bedroom for another child. We're talking about adopting again. :-) So anyway, here is a photo I took of the girls one morning when they were waking up. Don't you love the bed head? Jadyn is on the top, Abby on the bottom.

This past Saturday we had a combined birthday party for Jadyn & her friend Isabella. We went to a little petting farm. They had a hayride & then pet some animals. They got to feed a cow and a donkey. The kids had a blast. One thing we did not expect was the weather. It was COLD! It did not warm up like it usually does. But that's okay, the kids did not mind. Here is a slide show of the party. Jadyn's actual 5th birthday is Dec 15th. I just chose to have a friend party early.

Yesterday the preschool had their Thanksgiving feast. They are off from school now so they had it on the last day. The kids wore their Native American hats. Jadyn even was given a Native American name. It was "Falling Rain". The kids got their lunches and headed outside where there were blankets ready for them to sit at. We were outside about 10 min and then it started to rain, and got cold. Finally Jadyn's teacher said "Lets go" and brought everyone back inside. The kids finished their feast in their classrooms. It was fun. The kids were cute. Here is a slide show.

Tomorrow we will be having Thanksgiving with just the 5 of us. It will be nice and relaxed. We'll get up and have breakfast. We'll make our Thanksgiving meal while the Macy's parade is on. My dad is in the parade this year so be sure to watch. He is in the Second Time Arrounder's Marching Band from St. Pete FL. We're excited to watch. Then after we eat and take naps :-) I hope to get our Christmas tree up.

Friday Tiff & my sister Denise plan on getting up early and doing the Black Friday sales. I'm not sure how much we'll get done. I hope there are some good sales.

I want to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving. I know that I'm Thankful for so much this year.

Until next time......
