Preschool Trick-Or-Treat

Today Abby & Jadyn got to trick-or-treat in school. They wore their costumes to school. They were so excited. I volunteered to pass out candy. Thankfully there were enough moms helping that I could go around and take photos. All I can say was it was organized chaos. :-) Every class went to each classroom and got candy. Then they did it again. The kids had fun and loved every minute of it. I did get some cute photos. It was tough running between both classes.
Now they are having snack and then a special lunch. I chose to come home. I'm exhausted.
The bags that they used today they made in class. They are so cute. Some other moms helped out.
Enjoy the photos. I will have more tomorrow night of Halloween.
Until next time.....

Preschool Fall Festival

Today was the Preschool Fall Festival. We were worried about rain today. So most of the activities were held inside. I volunteered at the pumpkin roll game. So Bill was great enough to come and take photos of the girls doing the games with their classes.

The girls had a blast! They were so excited that today was the day for the festival. They did a candy walk, pumpkin roll, got face painted (except my girls wanted it on their arms), got to decorate a cookie (and then eat it), go fishing etc. They had a lot of fun.

Bill took some good photos. He actually took 175 photos. There are only a few in the slideshow below. :-) The last photo was fun. Ms. Tara (Jadyn's teacher) took the kids outside of the classroom and arranged them on the grass to spell out FUN. Because they all had fun today. It was a riot watching this. Ms. Tara and Ms. Kirsten even got in on the spelling. It was very hard to get a photo of the "word".

The girls are really enjoying school. Jadyn more than Abby I think. But they are still having fun and they love their teachers. Next week they will get to dress up for Halloween and go trick-or-treating around the school. Of course we'll have photos.

Until next time......

People Power Day at preschool

Today is "People Power Day" at the girls preschool. Today they were to ride a bike, scooter, roller blades etc to school. Well, usually we walk to school. Except on every other Wednesday. And this happened to be the week that we drive to school on Wed. (We carpool with a neighbor and on Wed the "big girls" have to be at school at 8. So I drive them first and then drive to preschool). So we cheated a little by driving up with the scooters in the van. I did park across from the school so they did have to ride them a little bit. It was so cute. They had a "parking lot" for each class to park their "rides". I took a photo (of course).

I don't know what they have planned during school. But they will be riding their "rides" during class time. I'm anxious to hear what the girls thought. I'm sure they will have a blast.

So far the school year is going well for all 3 of our girls. Tiff brought home a mid term progress report. She's getting all A's and 1 B. Not bad at all. She seems to like the 8th grade. She does not come home with much homework, which is nice.

Tiff is in the advanced band at school (it's called Hawk Band) and they have the opportunity to go to DC in April. They are just waiting for the approval to go. We are excited. I signed up to be a chaperone. I'm nervous about that one. :-) 16 hrs on a bus with middle schoolers? Scary. But I think it should be a lot of fun. We leave on Tiffs birthday. She's a little bummed about that. Maybe I can get the band director (who I'm friends with) to have everyone sing Happy Birthday to Tiff. She ought to love me for that one. LOL Anyway, I'll keep you updated on the band trip. Hopefully we'll hear something very soon.

A & J love school. They love their new little friends. I love that they are separated and that they can be themselves. I love walking into the school and hearing girls yelling out their names and running over to them to hug them. It's so precious. I just look at them and can't believe how big they are getting. So big, so fast!

Yesterday I took Abby to her 5 yr checkup at the doctor. We walked in (thank goodness we were the only people in the building besides the staff). Abby announced to them "I'm 5. I'm not here for shots. I'm only here so Dr. Richards can see how big I've gotten." They all were laughing so hard. She talked, talked, talked. She told them everything. How we have 2 dogs and they are Zack & Zoe and Zack is white and Zoe is brown, black & white. She told them how they pee & poop in our house. I could not believe all that she told.

Then it came time for a finger prick. I was nervous to how Abby would react. She did not flinch. Then she told the nurse "that's not a real shot. That's a fake shot. I'm not getting any real shots because I'm 5". Again, more laughter.

Enjoy the slideshow. I'm sure the girls will have a lot of fun today.
Until next time....

Preschool Update

Well Jadyn is just so excited that she has a best friend. She asked if I could bring the camera to take a photo of her & her new best friend. So we did. Malea does not come until around 8:15. So we went to Abby's class and took some photos. Well, Abby is a little jealous that Jadyn has a new friend. So of course, Abby has announced that she too has a new friend. She tells me "it's the girl who has the same Dora shoes as me." So we found her and took a photo. Her name is Karinna. Then we left to find Jadyn. Malea showed up and was not in the best of moods. She did not want her photo taken. Jadyn was sad. I promised Jadyn that I would bring my camera another day. I did get some photos of Jadyn in center time though.

While we were waiting, I was able to talk with Ms. Tara, Jadyn's teacher. She told me that she is very bright. She said that she has an activity that she gives the kids and she knows that most of them can do it. Then she has a more advanced activity that she gave to Jadyn. She nailed it! They can tell that she wants to learn and that she will do great! They told me that Malea is the same way. So I think that is why they have bonded so well.

Bill on the other hand was keeping his eye on Abby while we were in centers. And he started cracking up. He said that Abby was going around to each of the kids and putting her hand on their backs and saying good morning.

Oh, and you have to check out the 1st photo below. We started laughing so hard. Check out Abby's expression. She said the boy kept trying to hold her hand.

The girls LOVE school. I'm so happy that they love it.

Here is a slide show from this morning. Enjoy!
