A morning at our house

Well this morning, the girls imaginations were in bloom. I could not believe what they did on their own. I just had to get the camera to capture the moment. And I had a good laugh too.
Yesterday, the girls new luggage arrived. So now we have the boxes they were shipped in. So they decided to make a restaurant. Tiff of course was the owner and cook. The girls were the customers. It as so funny to watch. They had a blast. At one point, Abby & Jadyn left Tiff in there and went on to playing something else. :-)
Abby made us smile last night. She came to us and said "Super Hero Abby is Back!" She used to put a blanket around her and fly around the house. She has not done that in a long time. So it was great to see Super Hero Abby again.
Jadyn's favorite thing to do is color. She would color all day if I let her. You should see some of the pages she has colored. I should take photos and put them on the blog. She is amazing!
This morning, the girls swam and then had blue Kook-Aid to drink. that is why they have blue tongues in the photos below.
We are having a good day. The girls have been in the pool a lot. Tiff & Bill are spending some much needed daddy/daughter time out. When I just called them, they were eating lunch together.
Enjoy the photos. Click on it to see the slideshow.
Until next time,

Is Adoption Really a Christian Duty?

I was on a friends blog today and she had a link to this story. It's really touching. As you know, we are advocates of adoption. I wish we could adopt more children. Who knows, maybe we will adopt again. But for now, Bill & I feel strongly to help orphans. It would be awesome if we as Christians would stand up and help too. As this video says, not everyone is called to adopt. But if we all helped out by donating our time, money, talents etc to causes that help orphans, then we will be helping the orphans of the world.
Enjoy this news video. I hope you are as touched by this video as I was.

God bless!
Debbie

Tiff's job for the past week

Well, Tiff has had a big responsibility this week. She has been dog sitting our neighbors dog. Tiff was excited that they asked her to do this. The first day, Tiff was up at the crack of dawn ready to let Coal out. By today, we had to get her out of bed and tell her it was time to let him out. She has done really well though. She was supposed to go over once in the morning to let him out, feed him some dog cookies & fill his water bowl. Then go back in the evening to let him out, feed him his dinner & fill his water bowl. He's a really good dog. He's big and I was afraid he would over power her. But he did not. He's a very gentle dog.
Below is a slide show of photos I took her Tiff & Coal yesterday. Enjoy!

More 4th of July

I finally have more photos from our 4th of July posted. Sorry it took so long. We've been busy trying to get our house a little decorated. We've been here for 18 months and we still have windows that look bare. So we all went shopping. We were gone for about 4 hrs. The girls did great. We came back with basically nothing. We did not know what do to with how to decorate. So we came home and just sat and thought about how to paint & decorate. We ended up rearranging our family room. We love it now. It's so cozy. We also are going to donate our TV because it was too big for our room. So we downsized and bought another one today. It's really nice.
Today (Sunday) we went to church and then while Bill & Tiff went to buy the TV, the girls & I rested. I was so tired. I slept on the couch for over an hour. It felt good.
So now, back to our 4th. We went in our pool around 2 PM. Bill & I lasted about an hour. The girls about 2 hrs. Abby learned how to swim to the bottom of the pool to get pool toys. She loved it. Because of Jadyn's ear infections, she can't get her head wet, which she was not happy about at all. So we had her swim in 2 tubes. She was somewhat okay with that. I have photos in the slideshow.
Bill fell asleep in a chair on our lanai. Of course, when the opportunity came, I snapped a photo. He was very tired.
After the pool we cooked out and ate dinner. Then at 6 I took Tiff to her friends house. Bill let the girls ride their bikes. When I got home, they were playing sidewalk chalk in our driveway. We stayed outside for over an hour. The girls had a blast. It brought back memories of when we would sit outside at our old house. Only this time, there were no neighbors coming by. Around 7 PM we got the sparklers out. The girls like it a little. When we were done, we went inside for baths. The girls were very hot. We thought a storm was coming. We had lightening but no rain. Around 8:30 the girls came out to the family room ready for fireworks. We went on our back lanai and watched what some neighbors were doing. They were great. The girls watched for about 5 min and then they were done. That's all they cared about.
We had a good 4th of July. I'm glad we spent it as a family. I'm glad it was so restful. We had a wonderful day.
Enjoy the photos. There are a lot in this slideshow. I think you can click on it 2 times to see the photos bigger.
Until next time,
Debbie

Happy 4th of July

I hope you are having a wonderful 4th of July. We are not doing too much. Just hanging out as a family. We've been so tired lately that it's nice to do nothing. One thing that I did want to do was get some photos of us. So here is a slide show of photos that we just took. I will put more on the site tomorrow. We will be doing sparklers when it's darker.
Enjoy your day! Love, Debbie

An Unexpected morning & a Visit with a Butterfly Princess

Today did not start out as planned. Does any day actually start out as planned? I usually plan to sleep until my body wants to wake up. That never happens. At least not anymore. I'm woken by puppies or little princesses. Well today at 1 AM I was woken up by a crying princess. I thought she fell out of bed. Well she did not. Jadyn was crying hard. I asked her what was wrong. She said her ear hurt. Oh no! So I put some over the counter drops in her ear and she fell asleep. I of course was awake for a few hours. Until I heard the puppies at 5:30. When I finally got out of bed, I checked on Princess Jadyn and she was still sleeping. So I waited until she woke up. When she did it was after 8 AM. She said her ear still hurt. So I called the doctor. I prayed they could see her this morning since we had plans today. Thankfully they could see her at 10:45. So off to the doctor we went. Princess Jadyn has swimmers ear & a middle ear infection, in both ears. Wonderful! (not). So off to Publix we went (for the 2nd time today) to get her prescription filled.
Now on to what was planned for today. Our wonderful friends Pete, Kim & Hannah Joy were coming over. We were so excited. It's been a year or so since we've gotten together. Way to long. It seems that time just flies and keeping in touch via email makes me feel like we see each other often. It was great to have them come over. We had a great cook out and talked for a few hours. The girls were slow to play together, but eventually they did. Dress up was fun for our Princesses.
It was sad when they had to leave. We know we'll see each other again soon. Bill & Pete leave in 3 weeks to go to China. They are both excited. I'm so glad they are going together. Bill hopes to update his blog from China (which is on the side of my blog here so be sure to check it out). Pete also hopes to update his site from China (link is on the side too). I have a slide show below of our Princesses today. They are all so very cute. As you can see from the slide show, our Princesses do make messes and like to eat sweets.
Kim & Pete, thank you for driving to our house. We had a wonderful time chatting. We love you guys and can't wait to see you again! Hugs! Love, Debbie

Puppies

Well, the puppies are definitely comfortable here with us. So comfortable that they have started chewing up things. A corner of our kitchen island is chewed up and now a corner of our entertainment center is chewed on. Bill is not happy about that. So they do not get as much freedom around the house as they used to. If we are not out there to watch them then they have to stay in their playpen. Zack LOVES to "hide" from Zoe under the entertainment center. I have photos to show you of that below. He also hides in the kennel. It's funny.
I felt bad for them squeezing into one kennel at night so I let them sleep in their playpen one night so they could stretch out. Well when we woke up it was quiet so I got concerned. It was quiet because they already relieved themselves all over the tile in the playpen. So back in the kennel they went. We did go and buy a 2nd one so now they each sleep in their own. Zack was not happy about that the first night. But he is better now. Zoe loves her own space.
It's hard to believe they have been with us for almost 2 months now. They have grown a lot. They are teething and I can tell their teeth/gums are hurting. I'll be happy when we are finished with the puppy stage. We have a ways to go. They just turned 4 months on June 28th.
